So I’ve seen advertisements about the supplement and it truly peaked my interest. However, I did experience some hesitance as in the past I’ve had my own intrigue with sleeping supplements, more specifically melatonin. You could say that I did succumb to my own proclivity toward addictive behavior, and overdosed on melatonin, which led me into a bout of sleepless whose duration I can’t exactly recall. In essence, I’ve decided to give melatonin a break, for a while.
Thankfully though, I ran into this beauty at my local health and home goods shop.
I had planned for midday siesta, and knew that I would like to give this a try in preparation of such. The main ingredient in the supplement is tart cherry juice, which promotes melatonin production naturally. It also contains magnesium and l-theanine, which helped to calm nervous system that normally remains highly activated throughout the day.
Thankfully, the supplement did exactly what it claimed to do. Similarly to what’s experienced when taking melatonin, I was lulled into a deep sleep that lasted for about 90 minutes, which was the exact amount of time I had available.
The flavor, though, is quite questionable. It is reminiscent of the childhood cough syrup you probably dreaded taking at the approach of cough and cold season. Still, It is not intolerable, and so, while I am aware that the efficiency of daytime naps are highly debatable, I do recommend this supplement to anyone who is experimenting with supplements in the effort to regulate their sleep cycle.
